Overlooking the Bay of Naples and with views of the Vesuvius volcano, Sorrento is a colourful town in Campania. According to the Greek legend, it was the land of the sirens that had the power to enchant with their singing.
The town of Sorrento has gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque architecture, and a big variety of restaurants, shops and cafés. Built around the 11th century, the Romanesque Cathedral of Sorrento is the city’s most important landmark. The charming Bell Tower with the beautiful majolica clock is the first thing that you will notice.
The picturesque harbour of Marina Grande has some of the best restaurants in the city. Wander around during sunset and you will see fishermen cleaning their nets. Marina Piccola is the place to get a ferry to Capri, Amalfi and Naples.
Born in a garden of lemon and oranges, the traditional yellow liquor of limoncello is a unique aperitif or digestive drink. The mediterranean climate of Sorrento helps in the production of this famous refreshment.

Good sized small town. So much to see and do. We stayed 4 nights and used it as a base for day trips to Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Pompeii. The transportation is pretty good. Buses run to Positano and Amalfi but are usually standing room. The subway can be used to get to Naples/Pompeii and is pretty cheap around 4 Euros. The ferry to Capri is usually standing room also. All the characteristics needed for a summer vacation can be found there it is clean beautiful streets and suitable transport. it is clean and gives the opportunity from there to go anywhere you like - Capri, Positano, Amalfi.

However, in some areas are very crowded so it’s not convenient to get through a narrow street with crowded tourists. The views from our balcony were incredible. The room has air conditioning and is very comfortable. As Francesco and Anna will tell you, 95% of what you eat while on the farm, is made ON the farm. And it is VERY GOOD. We enjoyed wine and antipasto on a couple of nights, and it was very very good. Anna was a WONDERFUL hostess:)The nicest pizza I've ever had....
