If you want a larger room, more bed space, and prefer to spend your funds on things to do (or eat!) instead of quaint accommodations, you gotta try this hotel. It's close enough into Charlottetown to make travel there easy, but near enough to all the main roads to make exploring the whole island easy from one base location. Staff could not have been more fun and informative AND helpful. Housekeeping staff was terrific, too, we just had to ask and it was done.

location was quite convenient if you like walking as it is a few blks to the main drag on Queen St
but it is right opposite the Founders Food Market and some waterfront shops and restaurants, 3 of which were quite good,
only drawback is that it is a house so floors are not sound proof that you can hear guests above bathing and walking around at nite
other than that, it is a family run Inn and they were very gracious and welcoming, making extra efforts to give us special breakfasts everyday like pancakes one day, scrambled eggs another etc etc
I would recommend it!

We absolutely love Charlottetown!
We absolutely love Charlottetown! There are many great restaurants and pubs; some down by the waterfront that are some of the best!! The Olde Dublin Pub, 131 Sydney Street, Charlottetown is energetic and exciting; young and enthusiastic and we are semi-retired and really enjoyed it. The background music could make you want to get up and dance. It really is one of the best places to go for an evening. Cost of food was as normal as it is in most other restaurants. We loved every minute of it.

This was my second trip to Charlottetown.
This was my second trip to Charlottetown. The first was many years ago. The city is abundantly interesting, with both older and newer buildings. The older ones are far more interesting. It has a very historic sense and feel about it. And of course, it is right on the atlantic, which makes it vastly more interesting. We went out there for the Anne of Green Gables tour and attractions, and even though you could see them easily within a day, they did not disappoint. People were generally quite down to earth and friendly.

I love this beautiful little city.
I love this beautiful little city. Everything if you like to walk, is within walking distance. There is so much to offer. The intertainment is bar none, the music, food, history. And don't forget the theater. I am never disappointed when I visit. I go back each year.

Charlottetown is beautiful.
Charlottetown is beautiful. The Main Street leading down to the waterfront has many restaurants and stores. It is a very walkable area. Getting around to see everything was easy. Even driving to see the rest of Prince Edward Island was a breeze. The people wherever we went were extremely friendly and helpful.

Beautiful old city with so many places to see, wonderful shops and restaurants and live music everywhere. Golf courses all over the place and just a nice place to go relax, stroll around and enjoy the history.
The Sonata Inn location was ideal. Walking distance to all downtown venues, about four blocks. The Victoria Park board walk was even closer, just across west street. The building itself is a wonderful Victorian home with its welcoming charm.
The owners and staff were great, making us feel very welcome and Breakfast included a hot option each morning.
We will plan on staying here next time we visit Charlottetown.
Great location in downtown Charlottetown. Loved the bold retro decor of the bedroom (we got the room George) and also of the whole house.
I really liked that to open the room you use a keypad, no annoying key to keep with you!
The breakfast was good, filling and different every day.
And last but not least, the owner Cindy was very nice and helpful, she even provides beach towels which is so thoughtful!
Fantastic spot! Nicer, bigger, and cheaper than 90% of the hotels I've slept in here in the maritimes. It's a motel at the end of the day, so if you're expecting a luxury king suite with room service etc - go spend upwards of 250 a night at a hotel. The room was huge, if I'm not mistaken all the units have full stove/fridge/cutlery etc setups - and everything was very clean and comfy.
Very clean and comfortable. Centrally located in Charlottetown, easy access to downtown and all roads that lead to beautiful locations around the island. Owners were attentive to all details such as cleanliness, comfort and other small details such as coffee, cream and coffeemaker and dishes in the room. This was more than a room… it was more like a small apartment/house.
The location is great, very close to the downtown of Charlottetown. You can drive to basically any famous viewpoint within 30mins, such as PEI national park, Anne of green gable, etc. and it is super close to the Cows creamery, it’s only 5 mins drive away. The breakfast is okay, typical American breakfast nothing stood out.
Location was perfect for exploring historic Charlottetown. 15 minute ride from airport. Tons of restaurants, shops, live music venues and attractions within 2-10 minutes walk. Easy parking. Major bus route steps from hotel. Dali restaurant on main floor - great breakfast. Live music as well.
This is a really cool hotel in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. The main floor has a concert venue and we were able to obtain tickets for an East Coast Kitchen Party. Absolutely amazing time and completely unexpected. We will only stay here when we come back.
It was a very spacious newer home located 15 minutes from downtown Charlottetown. Nice deck with patio table. Laundry on the upper level and 2 four piece bathrooms and 1 3 piece bathroom upstairs with a powder room on main level.
Beautiful historic home, in a perfect location in downtown Charlottetown. The owners are friendly people who took great care in converting this heritage home into a lovely B&B. Can't recommend Prince Inn highly enough.p
Clean, comfortable room in a gorgeous historic building. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great location from which to walk to Charlottetown’s downtown and waterfront.
Spacious clean room ; Fred the manager on site and was helpful with local attractions and restaurants. Located right downtown convenient to all Charlottetown
