The hotel was in a good location, metro stations 5 min walk. The hotel staff is very friendly, humorous and charitable, we were even allowed a late check-out. The room had very cozy lighting, a large bathroom, a hot shower with good pressure, the room was modern and nice, even the carpeted floor seemed nice that I was willing to step there with my bare feet (it is old and smelly in most NY hotels), the breakfast was also quite ok, something different every morning (omelet, bacon, cutlet, toast, buns, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and the option to make your own waffles and all the extras for that). Our expectations were quite low because NY hotels are all very expensive and it's hard to find anything above average for a reasonable price, but this time we were lucky.

Immortalised in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were a city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!
The borough is joined to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It is also linked to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the north-east, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while south-east is the huge Prospect Park.
On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighbouring Queens.
At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Regeneration is underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden rollercoaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.
Cheap Brooklyn hotels offer a good alternative to accommodation in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

Brooklyn is a very busy city.
Brooklyn is a very busy city. There are many options for activities and sightseeing. The traffic is very, very busy and the parking is almost impossible. If you know where you are going and what time you need to be there you must definitely factor in your commute.

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth.
Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth. Old, new, rich, not-so-rich. Every cuisine and kind of neighborhood. Prospect Park is in great shape and safe. The new(ish) waterfront parks by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights are in super condition and have great view of lower Manhattan. Walking the bridge is a really highlight. So much more reasonable than staying in Manhattan too, and just a really short subway ride to all the best lower Manhattan attractions and neighborhoods. People have a lot of crazy ideas that big cities are bad and broken in the USA. It’s just not true in Brooklyn. It’s a great place that’s better than it was 20-30 years ago.
It would have been nice to arrive at the hotel I'd booked with Booking.com and which booking.com had confirmed to find it still operating as a hotel instead of arriving late at night with my son in downtown Brooklyn to be told the hotel had been taken over by the authorities and is now operating as a shelter leaving myself and my son alone at night after a 22 hour train journey in downtown Brooklyn with nowhere to stay. THAT would have been nice.
Location is great and that's about it. Brand new hotel with tiny rooms. Penny competes more with pod hotels as the rooms are cheaply, minimally furnished. The hotel itself has zero amenities except free bikes to borrow. The Williamsburg Hotel, Hoxton and other nearby hotels also have 200sq ft rooms but they are packed with style and the properties themselves have plenty of amenities like rooftop bars, restaurants ...
Comfortable room, bed, clean. It's a generic modem hotel with parking. Nice views over Manhattan and Brooklyn. The location isn't for tourists though, we were staying near friends in red hook. It's either leaving on a cruise or you know NYC well enough to get the river ferry. Red Hook is not well served with public transport. They have parking though. For us, it was great value in the right location for our purposes
The hotel has a unique and appealing vibe to it, and they provide some facilities to support that. The location is very good and the neighborhood is clean and safe. It is also close to 2 metro stations that can easily take you to 2 major spots in Manhattan. It is also within walking distance of Brooklyn bridge.
We liked the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room that gave us enough view of the city.
The Even has nice clean rooms with walk-in shower. All Excellent!
The frontdesk team Charisse and Tiffany provided excellent service at all days!
The breakfast Guy Yazza is a born professional, it was a pleasure having - fresh made - breakfast and I felt so welcome and supported.
Overall this is the best Hotel in Brooklyn currently, safe area, Metro around the corner........6 Stars
The Liberty Brooklyn Hotel is an affordable lodging option. It is clean, offers amazing city views, and is in walking distance of many food choices. The rooms are clean, upgraded, with modern amenities. Each morning guest are provided complimentary breakfast in a spacious lounge. I would recommend this hotel as an option to anyone.
Clean, modern and cost effective room for a weekend in Williamsburg. You certainly cannot argue with the location, and the little gardens to sit out for a morning coffee and the lobby bar are both huge draws. Our new first choice for trips to Brooklyn!
Great location, Smith Street has lots of nice restaurants and good metro connections to Manhattan and other Brooklyn areas. Pretty big rooms for New York standards with a king size bed. We liked the quick and easy breakfast at the hotel.
This is a basic hotel, one step up from a hostel primarily because you get a room with a bathroom. It's fairly clean, located near the N and D train, it's cheap and it's one of the best deals for a traveler on a budget.
Very cool hotel with great views of Manhattan and ideally located for all modes of transport to all your favourite parts of NYC! Oh and did I mention - Brooklyn Bowl is directly opposite the hotel!!
Nice newish hotel in a good location in Brooklyn. The room was clean and had everything we needed, there was paid parking available at the hotel as well. Overall a decent choice for the area.
Our entire experience at Ace Hotel Brooklyn was excellent. The bar was beautiful and the drinks were delicious. We had breakfast at the resturant and the food was amazing. High recommend!
The location of the Ace Brooklyn is great. Hotel is surrounded by a lot of restaurants and cafes. The rooms are specious and staff is super friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in a great location in downtown Brooklyn, close to plenty of shops, restaurants and metro stations. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
