Really good location, just a few minutes' walk from the old town but also other sites such as the cathedrals, museums and galleries. The pick-up from the airport, arranged directly with the hotel, went like clockwork, with a very pleasant young driver. The room was a good size and the bathroom decent.

A really interesting city. The people are warm and friendly, ready to welcome and assist visitors. Many speak a variety of languages. English is commonly used, menus are often in English as well as Bosnian. The food is tasty and there are a variety of cuisines to choose.
The city is walkable, there are many tours available. We chose a free
Walking tour and the Fall of Yugoslavia tour. Both to our guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about their city. They were open to questions and enjoyed sharing their opinions.
The cable car allows the visitor to get a Birds Eye view of its size. The Old Town is great for traditional meals. Good coffee is available everywhere.
I liked the fact that East and West meet, it gives hope. It was an experience that will remain with me for a while.

Such an interesting city, with an even greater sense of East meets West than Istanbul. It's small, so easy to get around, and the river is helpful for orientation. Two must-see destinations that are often missed are the Jewish Museum and the Sarajevo Haggadah held in the National Museum. Would recommend a 'free' walking tour - we used Neno & Friends, and Merima was really excellent. But be prepared: still very much a cash-based economy, and BAMs not available outside Bosnia. Also, maybe it was just the season (early May), but restaurants are often fully booked - worth booking a day or two in advance. The 2-hour Talgo train down to Mostar is a great side trip for a day or two.

Great destination.
Great destination. Downtown offers you everything you want: very tasty food, interesting museums and touristic objectives to visit, sweets and aromas, nice streets, kind peoples... I felt like in an oriental city - then walking along the river was great too, as bridges and buildings being also modern and having a futuristic approach. Old and new, history and future in a great cohabitation.

Sarajevo is a truly cosmopolitan and mixed city with vibrant city life. It's also very good value for money. The local cuisine is good with lots of places to choose from and with emphasis on grilled meat dishes. Please note that some restaurants do not serve alcohol but don't let that deter you - there are other places that do, plus bars. Bosnian wine and local Sarajevo beer are very good, as is the local pomegranate juice which is served from stalls. The cable car is worth using and if you have time do visit the Tunnel of Hope. Lots of historic buildings including the famous Latin Bridge. For those interested in the civil war, I went to an exhibition that focused on the Srebrenica massacre. This can be an emotional experience and wouldn't recommend you take children. The train journey between Sarajevo and Mostar is amazing.

Must see city. Nice, cosy, multicultural.
Must see city. Nice, cosy, multicultural. With a lot of reminders of the war and history. Very, very green city and the whole Bosnia. With many things to do, for different types of travelers. Nature, culture, sports, walking or just coffee time observers.
We booked two wheelchair accesible rooms which might not be accessible for all wheelchair users. The height of our beds was around 80 cm which is much higher than common chairs and wheelchairs (cca. 45-50 cm).
In general our rooms and the hotel were clean. On the first day we noticed a specific smell which we associated with the fact that all floors and rooms are carpeted.
The breakfast was delicious, especially those little breads. I found it great that the buffet wasn't too large and they filled it when something was running out.
Every thing about the hotel. Staff was very helpful and professional. Hotel was exactly what it described. Spacious rooms. Very clean and spotless. For booking.com they arranged a free airport shuttle for pick up from the airport.Surrounding was very ecofriendly. I tried meals from Hotel restaurant and food was very tasty.I willI defenitely recommend Hotel Austria and Bosna to any tourist. I think tourist should not be prejudicial about Bosnia and Herzegovina visit without any fear. Beautiful Country nothing to be afraid of.
Considering that we were one of the cheated guests in Sarajevo this year (the first accommodation we booked didn't exist), We were happy that we got a hotel in the center that was available.
The hotel itself in the heart of the city. The immediate vicinity of "Baščaršija" where everything happens. The receptionists are very friendly. The cleaners are nice. They cleaned our room every day. Upon arrival, we received a bag of coffee and a magnet of the city of Sarajevo. Very nice of them :)
I booked a room with an air conditioner since the weather was a bit hot. The room was really clean and had a nice smell. The bathroom was clean too. The owners of the apartment treated us nicely. They washed our clothes and returned them back quickly. Also, there are free parks for cars. They extended the time for checking out so I had enough time. Thank you Magnus Apartment for being kind with me. I recommend you to deal with them if you decide to visit Bosnia.
The hotel is located in a very good spot. The manager met us in the city and took to the hotel with his own car. Very friendly, totally reliable and helpful staff made our Sarajevo experience unforgettable. They even assisted us to arrange an amazing trip to Bosnia’s must see’s. Thanks for all, this one will be remembered for a long time.
My wife and I arrive at the hotel at 8.30 in the morning and the manager Mr Mustafa allowed us to check-in with no extra charges.
Our room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was superb with lots of choices offered including local Bosnian dish.
We love the hotel and would definitely stay again should we visit Sarajevo again.

A very nice experience, the place is elegant and luxurious, the view is beautiful, everything you need is available in the hotel apartments, you rate it Seven Star. Dealing with them is very nice and smooth. They were fine in dealing. I hope anyone who travels to Bosnia will try this hotel apartment. Thank you.
