Hotel Bouček is our favorite place to stop for a night near the border. The location is in the heart of a very nice, small, old town Kromeriž. there is a big central square, where you can park your car, and here are several long working, nice places to eat.
If you want to stay in Hotel Bouček you should book the rooms in advance, because there are very few rooms and a very good price-quality ratio.

A small, but beautiful city, certainly worth visiting.
A small, but beautiful city, certainly worth visiting. I recommend the palace with its gallery of XVI/XVII paintings and the gardens (about a kilometre from the palace). The city is well-prepared for tourists and in our hotel we found useful leaflets with a detailed plan. You get everywhere on foot, so forget about your car and parking problems. When you`re tired, go to Bajda swimming pools where you pay 2 euros (50 Czech crowns) for the whole day and after 4 o`clock only slightly more than 1 euro.
For those who enjoy fin de siecle and beer - I suggest a visit in Plzneńska pivnice, 1 Maje Street. Unforgettable!

Kroměříž might not be a tourist destination with dozens of attractions, but you'll be making yourself a favor by visiting. It's a beautiful, quiet historical city with magnificent gardens and quaint narrow streets. Two days is perfectly fine for a comprehensive visit, which is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace instead of a mad tourist dash. Do use the train (or bus) to get in and out, this is not a car city, nor is there an actual need.

I was there for one night. I think I could've stayed longer and gone to the gardens. And we were pressed for time. The tour to walk around the garden take two hours to complete. So put some time aside to do this activity.

This is a small compact town that has something to offer for most people. We went principally to visit the Park Kvetna Zahrada and their displays of camelia's. Which is a highlight at this time of year. The town museum is an amazing location with five sections displaying many wonderful and interesting things. The artwork by the artist Max Svabinsky is truly memorable.
A number of historical locations are shut during the winter months such as the UNESCO Archbishops Palace. We had an excellent lunch in the restuarant Radnicni Sklipek which is just off the main suare. Excellent food at a very reasonable price

One of the most beautiful paintings (and one of his latest)...
One of the most beautiful paintings (and one of his latest) by the Italian Renaissance Master Tiziano Vecellio - "The Flaying of Marsyas" (1570-76) - is housed in the museum of the Archbishop's Palace. Only that makes the trip to Kroměříž worth while.
this place was a rainy day refuge. I would have been happy to hang out in it all day and read a book it was so cozy but we had big work to do here in the archbishop’s picture gallery . the gallery was our reason for coming to Kromeriz. the hotel very kindly let us come and check in early so that we could go to work on the pictures.
they also found a superb masseuse to treat my wife’s ailing neck. and the restaurant connected with the hotel is first rate in every way
Swift check-in by a lady called Tereza, great customer service. We travelled with out 2 years old daughter. The hotel was very accommodating- high chair, outdoor play area, kids indoor facilities, cutlery for toddlers, healthy kids menu. Very good location to get to Flower garden.
Both breakfast and evening meals were exceptional.
Swimming pool was very good and the whole area was very clean.
We will definitely come back again. Thank you
Overall, I liked the hotel very much. It´s clean, quiet and convenient, located in the very centre of Kroměříž, just 2 minutes far from the chateau. Modest continental breakfast topped up with the possibility to choose from seven served options (toasts, sausages etc.), no vegetables and eggs though and not suitable for celiaks. The bed was quite comfy, a bit "noisy" though. Very nice lady at the reception/bar. I recommend this place.
When a hotel lists "swimming pool" as an amenity, one wouldn't think you'd need to call days before your arrival & book a slot for the pool. In fact, that's the case. . .they don't open it during certain hours like most hotels, instead it's a 'private pool', only to be used by one party at a time, which includes the sauna. Plus they charge you handsomely for it. . .it felt more like a 'bazen of ill repute' than a family pool. :-/
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the facilities that I needed. Wonderful view to the main square. Exceptional staff. Although I checked in late and the reception closes at 21, and they left the key, as I could not open to get the key, the lady at the reception came to open the doors for me and give me the key (at almost midnight). Thank you!
When I return to Kromeriz, I'll stay at the same hotel!
We've spent an enjoyable summer weekend here and I would absolutely recommend the place to anyone hoping to have a comfortable, centrally-located place to stay in Kroměříž. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the staff was very friendly and the rooftop terrace is a great amenity for a warm summer evening. Breakfast selection is quite good, even later in the morning, and the whole experience was completely seamless.
The hotel has a great location in the city centre. If you pay extra you get a room with a view of the square. The breakfast was good (scrambled or poached eggs, bacon, sausages, salmon, yogurt, fruit, cheesecake, vegetables, etc.). Staff was polite and helpful. If you are not very fussy this is a great hotel for you. The receptionist speaks good English.
Right in the center of Kromeriz in Velke namesti (Velke square). Just few minutes to the main garden and anywhere you would like to get in Kroměříž.
Excellent, really excellent, large variety of food for breakfast. Elevator located in hotel and parking directly in front of La Fresca for 2 EUR/day.
A well located pension with a quiet comfortable ambience. We were travelling with friends (who were visiting from Australia) who really enjoyed their stay. Close to all the main attractions in Kroměříž and really good value for money. Parking close to the pension was really easy.
This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our 3 week vacation. Wonderful staff, clean, updated rooms and the breakfast was fantastic.
The bed was comfortable, towels were soft and the room was huge.
Great place with amazing terrace, cery close to all activities, parking is available for thr fee. Spacious room. Hotel interior is very pleasant, room interior is a bit old.
