I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The breakfast was fantastic, and my room was a charming little cabin with a picturesque view. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary sauna, and my room had all the amenities I needed. The staff were exceptionally sweet, nice, and friendly, providing all the information we required. The check-in desk, located in a charming bar that even offers karaoke options, providing a fun tone right from the start.Plus, the proximity of restaurants to the cabin made dining out incredibly convenient. I highly recommend staying here for the great atmosphere, convenient location, and excellent service!

If you're going skiing, Saariselkä is a good option and you can stay there for a week, for example.
If you are looking for the Northern Lights, maybe 3 nights would be ok, but you you should pray for good weather, with clear skies, and , of course, for the aurora to appear.

Saariselka has everything you need for a winter lapland trip! The ski resort is at walking distance, there are more than three DMC's to chose from when booking trips, there are plenty of restaurants and pubs. THe supermarket is big for a small town and offers all you need. Note that you can't buy wine in the supermarket but there's a small store next to it called Alko where you can pick up a bottle of wine.

It is a small and quiet town. Air is very fresh. Trees with snow on it are very beautiful. You can have many snow activities here. If you stay several days and the weather is good, you may have opportunity to see Aurora.
Bus is very convenient. You can go from Rovaniemi. You can also take bus to Ivalo and Ivalo airport.
Restaurants are very good in this small town.

It is a very beautiful place, but it is expensive. I just stayed for one night in a beautiful cabin. I think that the food is ok and also there could be some more interesting things to in the Hotel do when it gets dark.

You can do many activities - skiing, biking, hiking, relaxing, observing, and enjoying Lapland nature. You have a big chance to see the Aurora Borealis. There is a very comfortable and understandable system of day huts and wilderness huts with essential equipment in and out of the national park — an excellent place for people who love nature.
Ilkka has been very kind, helping us to get the best experience for our holiday in Lapland.
The apartment is very comfortable with lots of services: kitchen (with lots of tools to cook), bathroom (large and clean), private sauna (perfect after a whole day in the snow).
The apartment position is perfect because it is only 10 minutes from Saariselkä (where there are supermarkets, coffee, resturants and shops) and it is also isolated from any light pollution: we were lucky to see the Northen Lights just outside the apartment!
I booked a one night stay, Feeding Reindeer and Photography experience and Private Barrel Sauna experience. Let me just say that this has been the best place I have stayed in Lapland! They have amazing hospitality and the dinner was simply amazing!!! And yes, it’s included in the price of accommodation. The presentation of the food is just awesome. The Aurora Village team was very friendly and helpful. If you are planning to come to Lapland, this place is a must to stay for one night. You will not regret.
Location is close to the entrance in Saariselka coming from the main national road. Very good for cross-country skiing access, but you need to take the ski bus if you are there for the alpine skiing. Everything else is in 10' walk range. Good restaurants and pubs nearby.
Very clean and decent apartment, with all you need for a very comfortable stay. Excellent insulation, very nice electric sauna - very well equipped kitchen. Nice TV and great variety of channels and we watched the winter Olympics :-)
This is an amazing place. Close enough to Saariselka to have everything (shops, ski resort and general infrastructure), but far enough to be on our own in the middle of Lapland. Yes, this is one of the places where you can actually see the northern lights from your front door.
Besides that the apartment is suuuper functional, we could've easily lived here months without missing anything. One of the best places we've ever been!
Breakfast was served from 07 to 10 and was a very traditional Finnish hotel breakfast. My room economy room was located at the very far end of the hotel but as a spry young man I didn't mind doing the steps every now and then. As for location, the accommodation is located in the heart of Saariselkä in the middle of everything with good access to whatever you may want to reach by foot or by vehicle.
This is our dream place to stay. The aurora cabins are amazing and the staffs are all nice (reception, restaurant, clothing room for an activity). Breakfast was delicious. Dinner buffet was also great (grilled fish is the best). View from our cabin and surrounding nature was superb!!!!. We also booked the husky ride with the hotel and it was our best experience in Finland. Love this place :)
Simply put, we had an amazing time during our stay. Nina, Pasi and the rest of the team at Aurora Queen Resort really make you feel like home and will tailor your stay with activities in order to enjoy the amazing lapland nature. The rooms are superbly decorated and functional giving you first row seat on magnificent views.
We will definitely return for more mesmerizing moments!
Location of Ruokto's apartment is excellent. There's everything around right from good restaurants to sovenier shop.
We were lucky to see the Auroras just outside the home on the very 1st night. The house is just 50 mts from the inter city bus stop.
The house has everything that we needed. A very comfortable and super clean house. If in Saariselka, best home to stay.
The apartment we had was perfect for 2 people. We spent one night but would have been perfect for a longer vacation. The resort is very easy to find and just 15 minutes drive from Saariselka. The sauna in the bathroom is functioning well, it also had a timer so we had it on when we came back from Aurora hunting and we could warm up before bed.
Lovely little chalet ,warm& cosy ,my 2nd stay at saariselka in Sopppuka chalet . Parking just outside with a car heater point which was a bonus with temperatures down to minus24degrees. The chalet is well kitted out ,close to restaurants, tour companies & the ski bus stop .
Clean rooms, it has all the facilities you need, quiet hotel. Breakfast buffet is included. The location is very good, it’s in the middle of nature with direct access to walking/ski paths and is dark at night.
Very good value for the price.
Great appartment and good location in centre of Saariselka. Checking in was easy and staff at the reception was helpfull.
Bar and lounge at the hotel are very nice and had a great meal at the restaurant.
The location was really nice, but I have to put a lot of effort into getting breakfast in the morning since it is far away about 4km away from the hotel, but overall, the hotel was quite amazing!
The owners were very helpful and also the location was amazing, very close to the centre of Saariselka by car! We just loved the small street where the accommodation is!
1. Spacious clean cozy home
2. Well equipped kitchen
3. Good location not too far from the saariselka city
4. Great host
5. Dryer for clothes was very useful
