Wonderful, World Heritage-listed Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the River Avon overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-levelled Pulteney Weir and Grade I-listed Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options are the Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and high street stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath accommodation, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Great city center. Wonderful shops and restaurants.
Great city center. Wonderful shops and restaurants. Roman Baths were fantastic. River boat trip was a nice change of pace and quite beautiful.
However, being there on a bank holiday weekend is a bit chaotic. Lots of crowds.

Bath is scenic and lovely.
Bath is scenic and lovely. The streets are immaculate and the history is amazing. Where else can you find the home of a literary great, Jane Austen, and a famous astronomer William Herschel? We only spent one night and one day but came away completely satisfied.

Bath has everything, I spent 3 days here then my final day down to Bradford upon Avon, I managed to do everything that I intended and really enjoyed my time there, clean city, helpful guides and a great food experience at Sally Lunns. The hop on hop off bus is a good idea, I did this day one so I could see where to visit. And of course the Abbey and tower is a must if you are fit and healthy, it was a struggle but so worth it for the view and bell tower. The Roman Baths are astonishing and the Royal Crescent worth seeing, another hidden away gem St Johns catholic church which gets overlooked, and of course Pulteney bridge and weir, so if you like architecture, museums, street entertainers, history, churches, sightseeing and food then Bath is for you.

I wish we had planned more time.
I wish we had planned more time. There are many things to do. Beyond all of the amazing gardens , buildings, and regular tourism sites, there is a lovely town. The food scene is great. We also enjoyed a comedy club one night. I wish we had the time to read in the parks, do the full hike around the edge of town and travel on a narrow boat!

Abbey, Crescent and Roman Baths were amazing. Thermae Spa was very relaxing no mobile phones allowed, which was brilliant! Fairly compact City to walk around, although hop on hop off bus tour was enjoyable too.

Bath was beautiful!
Bath was beautiful! I loved the architecture and the resturants. I did a Bridgerton Walking Tour and a Cotswolds day tour. There is lots to do and see! It feels like you’re walking around a period drama. It’s wonderful. Highly recommend a weekend trip!
it was a last minute decision to stay in Bath and I m very happy I did. The hotel was everything I expected and like. nice decor. great location in a quiet area but 5 min walk to the center. there is a park right behind the hotel which is tranquile and offers connection to another park and a great walk along the canal. the room was big and had all the amenities you need. coffee and tea, fridge. I also really liked that you could open the window. staff were very accommodating.
Great location in upper Bath, which is a lovely part of town, very near The Circus and Royal Crescent. Our room ( Master Deluxe) was very spacious and comfortable, with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good, with many choices. The hotel has several nice common rooms and lots of outdoor seating as well. Staff were all friendly. We also took advantage of the valet parking which was super convenient.
The location was perfect. The trails and views were amazing . Transportation to town was really cheap and easy. The bus runs every 15 mins. Free parking with your stay. The rooms were really new with lots of storage space. Loads of power outlets. Very clean and tidy. Checking in and out was very simple. The staff were exceptional. 100% customer service. Alot better than hotels . Definately recommended to any Bath explorers.
We had an amazing weekend in Bath and The Dukes hotel was excellent . Our room was beautiful and spacious and very clean. The hotel was in a prefect location, only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bath, but far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again in the future.
Perfect hotel in great location, about 10 min walk to most of the popular attractions/ city centre.
Very clean and cosy room.
Tasty fresh breakfast served by chefs.

Very well located hotel close to the centre of Bath and sites such as the Royal Crescent and Circus. Breakfast was very good with wide variety of options to choose from. Staff helpful nd courteous. Room has very good facilities and the hotel was very clean throughout. We would definitely stay in the Francis hotel again.
Very nice airy and bright fantastic location not to far from city centre, amazing reception when we first walked in the hosts were amazing they had a certain panache about them I would highly recommend Brindleys B&B in bath, over high profile hotels thank you we will be back shortly
The hotel was a cosy boutique hotel in a sort after location in Bath close to the city centre. The hotel
staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was incredible and the dining room and bar were beautifully decorated
Some of the staff were amazing but others were not. We loved the location, the smallish number of guests and the nice bathrooms. We also loved that it was a dog friendly hotel. The breakfast menu was good too--the posh nosh smoked salmon and eggs was great.
One of the best boutique hotels I've stayed in. Excellent location in historic city centre of Bath, lovely room with great amenities, cute picturesque setting. The staff is very polite and helpful. Great breakfast à la carte. Would love to come back!
Clean comfortable room, great location, good breakfast. Easy to nip out to the city centre and be back in the hotel in minutes. Underground parking ( £15 for 24 hours) is convenient compared to other city centre hotels in Bath.
Lovely new hotel in Bath. Friendly staff, lovely clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Central location and good breakfast. I arrived at 11.30 and the room was ready to check in early which was great. Would recommend.
Lovely room with great comfy beds and great bathroom.
Very good spa facilities, some of the best we have seen in a hotel spa.

Main areas of the hotel are lovely and well kept as are the grounds and beautiful gardens. It’s a great location with parking and views over Bath. We enjoyed the use of the spa facilities.
