Keflavik is easily overlooked by many whom just go straight to the capital but honestly its such a nice little town, there's enough to see and do to last a decent amount of time and in comparison at least for me was more fun to explore than the capital!

Did not travel to Keflavik, we were there at the airport for a stopover. Thought we could tour a little as we had 10 hours but the cost of the bus fare and taxi was very expensive and for a family of four we decided to stay put. The flights are cheap but everything else, if you are on a budget prepare yourself to spend a lot of money on food and transportation. Very clean place, their tap water is amazing, air is clean. Would love to go back to explore but will have to save a lot to be able to fully enjoy Iceland.

Good location near the airport.
Good location near the airport. We moved here the day before our early morning flight. The friendly lady in reception stored our bags and called a taxi to bring us to Blue Lagoon. We learned that the hotel had a special deal with taxis so we booked the same taxi to bring us back, which gave us a bit of a discount. We took their free airport shuttle very early the next morning. The driver who was also in charge of reception was nice and friendly too.

Don't arrive after 2200hrs.
Don't arrive after 2200hrs. You won't get the room you've paid for. Don't rely on information from staff. They give you inaccurate advice re buses etc. The hotel is a 55km bus ride from Reykjavik - a once hourly service - or a $200 taxi ride each way. There is not even a vending machine to buy a softdrink, crisps etc. This place is an expensive bed and a shower and a 6km (aka AUD$59) taxi ride from the airport. Dont waste your money!

After being dropped off at the airport, I realized I had left my purse in the van. I was able to call the owner and he quickly and generously drove back to the airport to give me my purse. Phew! What an angel! And he didn’t even charge me for the inconvenience of driving back! Super short ride to the airport!

It's a lovely place. Must visit.
It's a lovely place. Must visit. If you have kids under 8 then you might not be able to go to a lot of adventures tours. Food is expensive. Rain is a Scandinavian restaurant where one must go if visiting Iceland.
Accommodation was clean, well equipped and in a great location. It is owned by Hotel Keflavik across the road which looks amazing. Breakfast was served there and it is a buffet. The choice of food was incredible. Wished we were staying longer so that we could try everything. Very handy for central Keflavik and a short drive to the airport. Breakfast is served from 5.00am which is great if you have an early flight. The shared bathroom was very clean and there are two bathrooms to around 6 rooms so we never had to wait.
This is a 'for sure' next time we are in Keflavik/flying out or in. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and modern and the hot tub on the roof is a fun place to meet fellow travellers. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they squeezed us into the restaurant - since we arrived too late to find food anywhere else. We left too early in the morning to try out the breakfast so can't comment on that. Easy drive to the airport from there (at least is was at 5AM).
Very nice property overlooking the small marina of Keflavik. It is ideal to stay here if you have an early-morning flight from Keflavik Airport, as it is located only about a 10-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are very comfy, clean and beautifully designed. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport as well as a small take-away breakfast if you need to leave very early for your flight. We highly recommend Hotel Berg.
We needed a room for 1 night on our arrival in Iceland, not far from the Keflavik airport.
Hotel is at about 3' driving from the car rental location. so if you land at 2AM, by 2.30 (check-in and bags ecc... included) you are already sleeping
Nice and clean, with the best and varied breakfast we had in all our stay in Iceland.
At arrival receptionist was very courteous explained all needs and features of hotel and the details for breakfast on next morning.
It was very clean and modern, easy to navigate and find. Very close to the airport, so was a nice place to stay considering I had an early flight the next day!
The restaurant had a lot of good food and polite staff, relatively quick service considering it was quite busy. Breakfast had a wide variety to select from. People in the reception were helpful and made sure to check that I was booked for the free airport shuttle, which I appreciated a lot!
Ideal for the airport, they run a regular shuttle service from 4.00 am I think. Nice room, simple facilities, tea coffee breakfast items are self serve from 3.00 am, friendly people. It was clean warm and easy to find and park. It seems popular with Icelanders on early flights not just tourists which I took to be a good sign. It was an easy 10m minute walk to town (Keflavik) for restaurants. Suited me fine for an early flight.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and for convenience, there was a restaurant on the second floor that offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our room had a coffee machine with tea and coffee provided. The bathroom was very nice complete with lavender soap, a spotless appearance and great shower head. It was about 12 minutes from the Keflavik Airport, which was very convenient.
Very nice little hotel. Staff is the best! They were so friendly and helpful, were able to accommodate my check-in early, offered to grab a few items from the breakfast buffet while I had to wait for test results in my room, and offered tips for onward travel. Everything I needed and more. Also, the restaurant is great - I had dinner there and it was one of the best meals of my trip.
This was a great hotel, perfectly located for the airport. Loads of parking, comfortable beds, breakfast from 4am which was incredible.. 24 hour coffee, tea, water etc. My son was delighted that it was located on the old American airbase and kept the feel of the original building. I would definitely use this hotel again when arriving late or leaving early from Keflavik.
Accessible to the airport-10m max taxi for £20 plus there is free shuttle to the airport by the hotel.
There is a very good restaurant attached to the hotel which I see several times. Very good and plentiful meals. Also, there is Museum Duus next door which is well worth visiting. Loved it. Plus walkable access to the town of Keflavik.
Hotel Jazz is an excellent choice for starting or ending your vacation in Iceland. It is close to the airport and has a fantastic breakfast ready early in the morning for those early departures and jet-lagged wake-ups. Check-in was a breeze. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and CLEAN. Hotel Jazz is an absolute must-stay.
It's a Radisson. Everything you'd expect. Not a huge number of facilities in the hotel beside the bar and restaurant. Very close to the sea and also close to the Keflavik restaurant area with a petrol station convenience store next door. Well varied breakfast, even with instant noodles.
food was fantastic. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was amazing, though expensive. the breakfast buffet was also very good. It's right next door to the airport and has early check in and late check out which was wonderful. The beds were so comfy! and room spacious.
Clean, modern hotel, close to the Airport. We checked in late, our room card was prepared on the reception (no staff contact needed) Room was new, fresh and clean, the bed was super. Breakfast was fine, nothing special.
There are good restaurants near to the hotel.
No breakfast.
The shuttle to the airport was very quick and on time/early -- very appreciated. I wish the host had made us aware beforehand that allowing 2 hours before a flight is not adequate at Keflavik.
The late-night check in procedure was clear and easy.
The location of this hotel is convenient for people wanting to stay close to the airport. There were lots of restaurants nearby and a grocery store was a few minutes away. Breakfast of fruit, granola bars, yogurt and juice were provided.
the free breakfast was AMAZING! The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. We were in walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. Very nice hotel.
