We had a great time at the Nilaveli beach resort. The staff was really very nice. What is not said is that, on the beach, next to the resort, there is an exceptionnal spectacle every day: traditionnal fishing. Fishermen bring an enormous net with a boat, about 1 km away from the shore. The net is linked with 2 long ropes that 20 people pull up from the beach for about 2 hours. Estonishing to discover how many fishes they bring that way in their net!

We had a wonderful stay, everyone is just so nice, helpful and the level of hospitality is just unmatched. We wanted to rent a scooter and they organised it for us super quickly.
The view from the property very nice and relaxing, I probably could have watched it for hours. The hotel also has a lovely beach with loungers, we were always almost the only one in the sea (except for a few dogs and a turtle).
Our room was very spacious, quiet and they also came in everyday to clean our room which has not been the case everywhere we stayed in Sri Lanka.
Breakfast was probably my favourite part of the day, so much delicious food: pancakes, french toast, curries, fruits, rotis - it was definitely the best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka.

We had a very relaxing time at Amanta Beach. Beautiful room, spacious&well designed. We loved the outdoor area (garden/ beach) a lot & enjoyed the calming atmosphere. The two dogs are gorgeous, friendly and it’s very nice to see & good to know that they are treated well & a have a home. ♥️🙏🏽
