Kitchen staff member at breakfast was so friendly and helpful. She was helpful, easy to approach and talk to and helped my kids make waffles. The 2 bedroom apartment was great for our family size and fully equipped kitchen was great too.

This side of the Bronx is not nice.
This side of the Bronx is not nice. When your UBER driver says "I wouldn't stay here", starts your vacation on the wrong foot. We went to a Yankee Game for the weekend, UBER'd everywhere. I would stay in Upper Manhattan. it would cost the same and is not that far from the stadium.

I simply visited the Bronx because I wanted to attend Amazing Church there. It is vibrant in its own way and there is quite a bit of Latino food that is available, which I had insufficient time to try.

Homeless people and substance abuse issues. It broke my heart. I didn’t feel safe. I was so sad to see so many drug addicts everywhere, and especially near the hotel.

I am very dissatisfied with my stay.
I am very dissatisfied with my stay.
Several complaints were submitted via email.
There has been no action of any kind on any;
Complaints were;
- Refrigerator makes noise at night
- Coffee maker is defective
- a lot of noise late in the evening/night and early in the morning.
- The room was adjacent to the GYM on the other side, Very noisy.
around 7:00 in the morning a noise can be heard.
- Curtains were not blackout.
Notified by email, no action was taken. Or at least, I was allowed to investigate for myself where the noise could be coming from. Downright ridiculous, you have a map of the complex, so that shouldn't be necessary.
As compensation I was offered to check out an hour later.
I thought that was the most disrespectful, complaints were not resolved and not taken seriously.

The proximity to the Subway is the best point about the accommodation.
Taking a deposit yet not allowing joint manager - renter inspections at Check-in and Check-out, is deliberate fraud. At best the manager can blackmail the renter as being responsible for damages that were subsisting prior to Check-in to justify withholding the deposit, which is nothing short of rank dishonesty. Honesty is the best policy.
Deposit must be refunded as per the rules and regulations stated in the conditions for renting the apartment, or else the manager must indicate why no refund.

This area not so good.
This area not so good. Royal hotel was the worst hotel that I ever been to. I was being lazy and didn't want to travel to Manhattan, but I should've known better! Bronx has its stereotypes for a reason. They are usually true.
Hands down. The customer service is second to none. Emily is a TRUE treasure and an amazing asset to the hotel! The hotel is a VERY short walk from the 4 and 5 Subway. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Dollar Tree. It is also just a short 25 minute Subway ride from downtown Manhattan/Times Square! There's also a REALLY nice bar and Latin grille in the lobby. We did not get to eat there during our stay, but the food smelt AMAZING! The bunk beds were also very cute and the rooms are spacious if you have a single bed.
Booked last minute after some changed plans was nervous about being outside the city as it was my first time in NYC but I couldn’t even tell I wasn’t staying in manhattan, as close to the 4 train as you can get and very connected to the whole city. Staff were super nice, it was very clean modern and stylish, loved that there was a steamer in the room for my creased luggage, wouldn’t say it blew my mind like walking into the plaza or something haha but I don’t have a bad thing to say about it.
When we come to New York City to visit Family we love staying at the Opera House Hotel- we are originally from New York City and this hotel makes it easy to stay in the city when visiting family. The opera house is very clean and it is an excellent property well kept and the staff is professional also. We felt very secure staying here and we also love the decor of the hotel. We would recommend others to stay at the Opera House Hotel!
I like the decor, the space of the room and how the esthetic of the outside looks. At night you feel like you are in a resort and not in the Bronx. Location to family members were perfect. The shower was amazing. Very modern decor and a huge TV (but not many channels to choose from). No coffee maker, no where to find ice for the bucket. Mini- fridge was bigger than others. Bed was comfy but we could it use a fourth pillow.
It was super close to the Bronx Zoo we drove so it was a 10 minute drive. The staff went above and beyond bringing our kids a goodie bag for their trip to the Zoo. It was the first hotel we stayed at that we didn’t get a noise complaint from the room below us lol. My kids like to jump and dance and my 4 y/o has some hammer feet. Lastly the view from our room was amazing at night.
Very poor and despicable condition, the sheets have holes in them, the smell of the rooms, and roaches running all over the place. I took pictures and videos to the front desk and told them that I was leaving because I was traumatized. I am very disturbed to see In 2023 an abundant city like New York people are living and conducting business like this. It's a crying shame.
Hotel is clean and well equiped, bed is comfortable and bathroom is spacious. You get new facilities everyday, clean towels... There's also microwave and fridge. No great view but it's really quiet here and we had good sleep. Fitness is also good enough. AC work very we'll, staff is friendly and helpful.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast offerings. Excellent, comfortable room with all the required facilities. Spotlessly clean throughout the hotel. Two minute walk from the subway station (very handy). Good value for money considering NYC prices
Near two metro lines, it is very easy to get to Manhattan and other parts of New York by subway. There are some cheap meal options near. The room cleaning is on a request basis, so you better have WhatsApp installed on your phone to contact the admin of the place.
I come to this hotel often because I live on the other side of New York and sometimes I’m too drained to travel after my shifts. The price is great and USUALLY I get great customer service and treatment from the staff. This time around was way different.
The beds and rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly/helpful.
There us a bus BXM8 that is just 6 minutes work from the hotel which takes you directly to Madison Avenue.
I am definitely booking this hotel again if I come back to New York .
The breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was all around spotless. Parking was always available for guests who secured it in advance. The staff was always helpful.
Nothing , customer service was terrible it took forever to get towels, toilet paper, and the card to our hotel room always had to get rescanned because of technical issues
Cabana is in a good location in the Bronx. The staff members were professional and helpful. As far as hotels go, the facilities are not what you'd describe as top-notch.
