We booked the Grandview Inn for one night on our return from Las Vegas before heading back to the UK. We couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the beach where there is a good choice of restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and comfortable with a fridge, microwave and coffee making machine. They think of everything and were happy for us to leave our car in the garage for a hour after we checked out whilst we had a last walk along the front and a spot of breakfast before heading off to Venice Beach. PS: In our view, Hemosa was far better than Venice!

This hotel is grossly over-rated.. our room booked had few windows.. no ability to boil water.. parking was hugely inconvenient.. why should anyone hand over car keys so the hotel staff could move your vehicles around. Never again.. the best bit about this hotel was that Good Stuff was very close nearby for a proper breakfast & leaving after two nights was a blessing. Don't even think about it!

The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept.
The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Beautiful scenery! The one major drawback back is that the restrooms were closed all except the one by the pier and there are not enough of them along the beach.

Great place!
Great place! It's away from the city hussle, lots of places to go out and eat and drink at all times. The beach is perfect, also lots of volleyball fields for everyone to come and play. With a bike you can go all the way up to Santa Monica in a reasonable time.

Hermosa Beach is a great place for a 4 night stay if you enjoy a clean sandy beach, plentiful restaurants and bars, close proximity to nearby towns and beaches. We had a fabulous dinner at MB Post Restaurant in Manhattan Beach which is only about 10 min Lyft ride. Super easy to get around on foot or by bike. Parking can be a challenge, so make sure you have parking available at your hotel or your rental. We traveled in October during COVID year, so was probably less crowded than usual. Can imagine much more traffic and parking challenges during peak season. Reservations for diner are highly recommended on weekends.

Hermosa beach has some of the best beach volleyball on earth. The strand has shopping and restaurants and bike rentals. It's one of my favorite cities on earth. Very outdoorsy city with lots of people walking, running, biking and just enjoying nature. Lots of stop signs so be patient driving around.
The location is amazing as Hermosa Beach is walking distance and even if our room was on the side of the street, it was really quiet and relaxing. It was spacious and had an area that allowed us to work for a day (on Friday) and the wi-fi connection was good. Breakfast was okay and there was the option to sit inside or on a nice terrace. Fitness room very small but with several dumbbells, exercise bike and treadmill.
We stayed at this hotel the second time, a day longer, because we love the whole set-up, the location, the smart room plan, the easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and of course the great walking/running/biking road with unlimited options. Also, the ease with which you can take your continental breakfast to your room to enjoy the balcony view is great.
Perfect place to stay in Hermosa Beach and close to the Ocean, with your own parking spot in the hotel garage; walking distance from shops, restaurants , beach; this is a no frills Inn so expect good room but don't expect breakfast, spa, gymn or a bar; housekeeping is doing great job, keeping every corner spotless ; beds are comfy
The Location said 100 metres from the Beach and it was exactly where it said, and I was a littler concerned about booking a small boutique hotel, but the location appealed to me. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of the hotel, the owners and ll staff!! I'll be back Cheers Ray
Amazing location, could see ocean and beach from the room. On the pier. Staff really nice and friendly. Breakfast options were nice (toast with jam/peanut butter, eggs, pancakes, coffee)
In reception they have earplugs and sunscreen left by previous tenants in case you run out of yours.
The room is very nice. It was quiet even though it’s on a busy street. We enjoyed the short walk to the pier where it was great to have dinner and watch the sunset. Breakfast was very nice and the waffles were GREAT. We were so pleased with our stay!
Good continental self service breakfast. Which was kept spotless. If you can book the sea front rooms in the main reception building, the view is fantastic. Nice kitchen area, fridge, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom.
The location is perfect. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were updated and had a modern feel. The front patio area gives a nice option to sit and eat with friends and family while people watching.
Location was great! Room was nice, view was very very nice. My only complaint was the non dairy powder creamer for the in room coffee, but that seems standard for even expensive hotels in Southern California.
This is the second time I stay in the hotel. I love how close it is to the beach. It is located in a nice neighborhood. Very friendly stuff. Medium size rooms.
