I balked a little when I saw the "by the hour" rates on a sign at check-in - mainly because of the noise that might entail. However, it was quiet as anything in the spacious room they gave me and I very much appreciated the kitchenette, which saves on going out for every meal.

The Box House hotel pleasantly surprised me. The biggest advantages are the absolutely ideal location and reasonable price. Great location, only a 15/20 min walk from times square and a stones throw from a great bagel shop. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The room was a very good size and very quiet, I would happily stay there again.
