As the gateway to the Glacier National Park for both winter and summer activities its a great location. The downtown area has been preserved with great restaurants and bars and the local Great Northern pub is perfect for a friendly beer to watch some sport. Give the team at Whitefish Outfitters a call for some wild winter or summer activities. If commuting in on the train, the station is only a block from town and a couple of blocks from the accommodation options. Come for a weekend or a full week, plenty to see and do.

There were a lot of restaurant choices all within walking distance of each other. Town was very nice with parks, hikes, and rivers to explore. Very nice place to start your tour of Glacier National Park.
A lovely hotel the views of the lake from the main building and bar area were spectacular. it is a very large hotel lots of rooms spread out. the rooms themselves were very large and spacious bed's comfortable all amenities included - the gas fireplace in the room is a lovely theme touch.
the meals in the restaurant and breakfast were amazing and reasonable price. we were there when they had live music on both nights that were fantastic so that was an added bonus both musician were outstanding and engaging with the audience
Our king suite room was fantastic, and the staff - especially Jamie - were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Transportation services from and to the train depot, to the ski resort, and around town were great. Downtown is a few blocks away via a short, easy walk along the Whitefish river. We could not have been happier with our choice. Pine Lodge is a great place to stay; we will stay there again, and recommend it all our friends.
An excellent location. It’s owned by the same people as the Firebrand across the street and the Whitefish Lodge, so you can take their Shuttle to the lodge and, for instance, leave your luggage at the Firebrand while waiting for the train. The beds were very comfortable and sparkling clean, the bathroom was nice and clean. Plenty of towels. But the best part is it is a fraction of the price of the neighboring hotels.
we had room 112. right on edge of hot tub area. we could tie up our puppy right there. enjoy hot tub and keep and eye on her. ground floor that leads out to a grassy area. perfect for puppy. comfortable king bed with fridge coffee maker and sofa. outside we sat on the River bank. amazing walks and could walk dog off leash until sidewalk. perfect place. would stay again next time we go to whitefish to golf.
The breakfast each morning was outstanding! Each day was a choice…..excellent egg casseroles, wonderful waffles, etc. the lounge was comfortable to sit and read or talk with other guests. The location was the best…..we were able to get to Glacier in under a half hour, it was five minutes from downtown Whitefish with many restaurants. Also a short trip to Flathead lake and the airport at Kalispell.
The staff was awesome Stephanie at the desk was so helpful about park entry times she is so warm and friendly! Then there was Steven our shuttle driver if we could pack him up and take him home with us we would, he also had great knowledge of Glacier and downtown whitefish. Even the gal at the desk that thinks she comes off rude was very helpful. One our best best western experiences ever!
this hotel was amazing ! a quick walk to downtown and Amtrak station! clean and comfortable with a modern look. there is a reading nook to relax in the hotel that isn’t in your room as well as a wood fire sauna outside. free coffee at the front desk and can purchase waffles that are delicious.
Very helpful staff, even lent us bear spray when we went on a couple of hikes. Complimentary continental breakfast was the best we had out of 14 hotels. Cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, muffins etc. Good quality.
Great seating area, with leather sofas and roaring fire
The hotel was well located for Whitefish and the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly helpful from start to finish. The pool was a decent size for a hotel. The hotel was kept very clean.
Breakfast was the worst part of the stay compared to other available hotels offerings. However, they had great eggs, banana's and yogurt. Would have nice to have hot selections.
Breakfast was incredible - best waffles I’ve ever had. The hotel was cozy, personable, and only a 15 min walk to town. Staff was extremely helpful and kind.
Location, rooms, pet friendly, all were excellent. My daughter’s wedding was at the hotel and everything was perfect, including ceremony and reception.
