The property is amazing, the perfect place if you want to wind down away from the crowds. It's in a beautiful spot, right on the beach. However, I feel like the best thing is the staff, truly wonderful. The front desk staff is amazing and helpful! We didn’t have a car and they organized a transfer for us, and provided bikes to move around easily. We had more chances to interact with the restaurant staff, in particular Emanuela, and it was truly an amazing experience, definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Also the cleanings staff was amazing, in particular the blonde woman with short hair and glasses, which I unluckily don’t know the name of but would really like to thank as well. We had lunch and dinner there and the food is absolutely delicious. We travel a lot and pretty much anywhere, and this was one of our favorite stays.
The hotel is greatly suited to those looking for a quiet stay, and hoping to explore the ancient Greek monuments for which the town of Paestum is known.

The park where the Greek ruins are situated is quite isolated, so if you are coming by public transport give yourself plenty of time to get there before dark. There is nothing much around there at night.

Paestum has an AMAZING set of well-preserved ruins, considering they were build some 2,500 years ago! We spent about 3-4 hours there (a little over an hour in the museum, and then a few more hours walking through the ruins. They were amazing to behold. The app downloaded from the museum website (Parco Archeologico di Paestum) was very helpful to learn about the ruins as we walked through them. The kids got rather tired though, so it was good to have a gelato break after leaving the ruins at the nearby cafe.

Some of the finest Greek temples in the world...in Southern Italy! Not to be missed. After time in Venice, we took the train to Bari, rented a card and (in turn) visited one day/night in: Alberobello, Matera, and Paestum. What a wonder trip. It was off-season, which just meant there were no crowds. We had a wonderful time! After Paestum we continued to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and then to Rome.

Paestum is a fascinating historical site.
Paestum is a fascinating historical site. It has been well preserved and is well worth exploring. The archeological park is well maintained and easy to see in about four hours. The adjacent museum is very new, with an interesting collection of artifacts found in the park. The shops and restaurants lining the roads along the park boundary are fairly typical tourist focused businesses. One exception is the “Museum Cafe”, closest to the museum. It has excellent gelato, and even has babas.

The ruins are spread over a very large area and consist of mainly low stone walls but with three large temples still intact. The museum is a wonderful building of marble faced walls & pillars exhibiting many excellent paintings on the recovered stone slabs from the ruins plus jewellry and pottery. Very fine work and gives such a good idea of the lives of the inhabitants and what they admired.
The entrance fee also covers the ruin complex and is a much reduced price for EU citizens.
The modern town is just that and has various usual amenities.

Of all the sites we saw in Magna Graecia, Paestum was for us the highlight. The amazingly well preserved temples, the vast archaeological display of the city, the still-standing walls, the museum.... these are truly a treasure to be treasured and to be enjoyed by those interested in the history of Magna Graecia.
The location is perfect as it is near to the archeological side. There are various restaurants offering tasty Italian food to choose from in the same street.
The breakfast is good too: cornetto (Italian croissant) with various spread/ jam, coffee, juice, yogurt. The staff was attentive & offered me extra cornetto as I finished mine.
Also they clean the room every day, feel wonderful to have clean room after the day out
- The room was very comfortable.
- The hotel is close to many restaurants and the archaeological site.
- The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Breakfast included coffee/tea, yogurt and croissants.
- A heater was supplied as the weather (and subsequently the room) was very cool at the time of our visit.
A beautiful property, with comfortable rooms, extensive grounds and outdoor areas, and most of all a gracious and professional staff who make sure that every detail is perfect. Extensive covid protocols are in place and meticulously followed. An oasis of beauty and comfort in the heart of Paestum!
Absolutely great breakfast - fresh buffalo mozzarella, real fresh cheese, fresh local bread, local sweet croisant etc. Enjoyment!
The host is very helpful. Parking place for big cars too is in the shadow under trees.
Apartment is near the public beach (2km) and city center and ancient monuments.
The owners are so special persons. They treat me like one friend not like one guest of booking.com. They give many information of surrounding. They offered bicycle and supper. I have never seen the owner like them. Recommended to stay there. Especially thanks Elisa, cristoforo, and Elena
Perfect place for rest. This is truly luxury hotel with 2-star Micheline restaurant (great performance and food, thanks too all Staff), private beach and garden. Thank to all the people who work in this place - reception, cleaners, workers and especially to girls from Restaurants.
The rooms are basic but comfortable. The host was very nice, and the breakfast was very fresh and from local ingredients. It's placed near Paestum archeological site (which is an amazing site), but you'll probably need a car to get there. You can visit the buffalo farm.
Very friendly staff, most of them have english and if not use google translate and they will perfectly understand you.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel. Clean, modern rooms, comfortable beds, charming host and wonderful breakfast created by mama Signora. Would recommend staying here while you visit the ruins and surrounding area. Loved it, and hope to come back
The staff at Villa Nicodemo are most kind and accommodating. They not only prepared us a delicious late supper but also helped us by driving us when needed to nearby locations. Which was very much appreciated.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with a fabulous buffet breakfast. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. A short walk to the beach and a quick drive to the ruins.
The property was fine. The problem was the noise coming from the restaurant. The hotel had several parties and at midnight I couldn’t sleep!
Very annoying!
