I recently stayed at Bitra Guesthouse and was very pleased with my experience. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Such a lovely place to stay! Check-in and check-out was super easy. Communication with our really friendly host always quick and helpful. The apartment is cute and has all you need for two: Well-stocked kitchenette, super clean and modern bathroom, a giant TV (even though we never switched it on), and the place has its own private hot tub in the backyard! The location is perfect as it's just around the corner from Selfoss' central roundabout, so you'll find it easily and have a great base for exploring Iceland's beautiful southside. Also, you can drive to Reykjavík in just about one hour.

We had a nice stay. The rooms and radiators were nice and warm Very large and nice public shared area. Shared toilet and bathroom were clean Quick and good information from the owner via the booking app. Cleanness great. Really nice and huge kitchen Very remote, and quiet at night. Really great Free parking facilities near by. All in all good value for money. We liked it.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the old school house! Greg and Magnea are very kind and welcoming. This booking is not just a place to sleep but an experience that I would recommend 10/10! The rooms are incredibly cozy and quiet with comfortable beds, the communal areas are super clean and the location is just very special. The surroundings are stunning, you can watch the stars at night from the hottub outside and if you’re there at the right time - catch aurora! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The apartment was incredibly spacious and comfortable, good location, accross the street from a big supermarket, next to a bakery shop and a fee minutes walk to the food hall. I liked the fact we had our own laundry in the apartment.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and prepared a nice welcome package with recommendations for the area (check-in and check-out were seemless). The sauna and hot tub were clean and well-maintained, a great treat after a long day of travel. The breakfast was varied and plentiful.
