As a solo female traveler, staying here I felt so safe and at home. The owner and his wife are so utterly sweet and hardworking. The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

It is amazing. The interior of the house is an artwork itself. Heidi is extremely helpful and organised our visit to World’s End and packed our breakfast. Dinner was delicious. We went for a jog around Lake Gregory which was wonderful.

Exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful hosts. They went above and beyond to help me when my scooter broke down 25 mins drive away, coming to pick me up with a truck for the scooter and were hugely helpful with local arrangements, suggestions and with making sure I could do my online meeting. Very friendly hosts in their new place. They even turned on the oven for us to dry clothes and have a warmer home. After the Horten hike in the morning we had a late breakfast which was very yummy - a great coffee too. The place is easy to reach with a tuktuk from the city center.

Really cute guesthouse with only two rooms! Very clean, spacious, I had a private balcony, very quiet, so you sleep really well. It’s a bit further away from town, but the owners’ family will try their best in giving you rides. They pick you up from the train station (check the price though) and I also really liked the breakfast and the dinner, even though both seem quite pricey compared to what I’ve had so far. You really feel at home at their place and the owner’s cousin Chaami is an amazing tour guide and showed me some of the best places for a very fair price, thank you! Would definitely stay again

They even packed one for the Hortons plain visit.

He rent us a scooter and helped organise tuk tuks to get to the train station and also Horton Plains. The breakfast was great. All fresh fruits and vegetables from his own garden. I really enjoyed it. The room was big and the blankets really, really warm and cozy. The shower has hot water and was the best shower we had in all of Sri Lanka.
