I am grateful to see the contrast but I can imagine some people may struggle with certain things. Myself however had a wonderful time and the mucky paths just reminded me of home. The staff were very helpful in all aspects and the common area is a great way to make friend and find out more about the local area- gyms, activities etc I done the bluestar snorkelling trip and the guys from hostel had organised to walk me there it was a great way to meet people and make new friends including the guys on the boat-wonderful team I definitely recommend both blue star and mango tree house:)!

The guest house is a 10-minute walk from GiliTrawangan Port. The property was in really close to the harbour. It was about a 3 minute walk to the main area and the night market. There were many warungs and food places. Even though we were so close to all of the action, the place was still quiet and noise was never an issue. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Obi is great and super welcoming, when we first arrived, he gave us a map of the island and pointed out the hotspots. He was a good contact to have for questions regarding the place and for general Gili T queries and suggestions. We enjoyed the free breakfast and on our first day, we didn’t get a chance to eat it and yet they kindly saved us the breakfast for when we returned. As well, we were pleased that there was a water refill station. The place was clean and the grounds itself was beautiful and foliage-rich. Despite feeling like we were in a jungle, there were surprisingly no ants and mosquitos were minimal. Upon asking, they even provided us with additional beach towels for free also. Bonus: they had the cutest, most friendly cat on the property as well.

Gili Air is in such close proximity to the other Gili islands like Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno. So you can reach either of the island only in few minutes by boat. Luckys Bar is about 50 meters from the property and Safari Restaurant is about 200 meters walk. To reach Lombok International Airport will take about 4 hours of driving and boating from the property. I loved everything!! But the staff made it so incredible. They never stopped smiling and were always there to help. The location is perfect and the breakfast is amazing. Pool clean and refreshing.
