The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

It is incredibly peaceful and amazingly relaxing. We spotted Northern Lights during our second night! The host couple is mixed Icelandic and American and super friendly. We felt right at home. The place has a very unique architecture which is a blend of wood, concrete and what I believe is iron. Design enthusiasts will really appreciate this. I don't believe I've ever been to a guesthouse this clean - truly spotless. During breakfast you get to sit in a room that offers incredible views over the ocean. We will definitely be back!
