Lovely setting in a beautiful homestay environment. It was very peaceful sitting in their beautiful garden, and the orchestra of frogs in the evening was a delight. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Dimu and his wife were so genuine and lovely, and the curries were delicious. Dimu organised a safari tour with Sumudu as our guide. Sumudu's knowledge and respect for the animals was very much appreciated. We saw many wild elephants, Sambur deer (very rare), deer, wild boar, golden jackals, Buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, monitor lizards, mongoose and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for an amazing stay, Dimu!

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. The safari with Suresh was excellent and good value for a four hour trip. Janith was the perfect host, communicative without being pushy and very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was also very delicious.

Hosts do everything they can to respond to clients expectations. They organize Udawalawe safari using their own jeep. During the safari we saw the great variety of animals - many elephants, crocodiles, various kinds of monkeys, birds, deers, turtle and lizard. Moreover the hosts wife cooks really tasty. The dinner and breakfast (take away during the safari) was diverse and delicious.

The hoppers and chicken were beyond compare; I highly recommend asking for dinner—the flavors were divine, and the prices surprisingly reasonable. The room exceeded my expectations, the most comfortable I've had in my travels around Sri Lanka. Fast Wi-Fi, a spacious balcony with a view of the garden and birds, and a thoughtful room upgrade – it was perfect. To top it off, a warm welcome with juice and a very tasty cake made my arrival memorable. In short, this place is a gem, and I highly recommend it.
