Large upstairs fully self contained living area and full kitchen, with a bedroom QS bed, bath and shower combo, toilet. Downstairs is owners residence, a large front lawn with a fire place, as well as a shared laundry. Breakfast, coffee and tea facilities are provided let us know if you have any special requirements. We can also provide other meals at reasonable cost, Oza works in a kitchen and loves cooking delicious food. We offer hiking transfers and maps if you want to do some walks.

Hello my name is Frank and I am hosting out a great place in Kuranda in sunny North Queensland! I love nature, hiking and swimming are my favourite activities, which is why I chose to live here. I'm also a keen traveller, having been to over 60 countries around the world. I'm clean living, friendly and reliable, and I'm lucky to have my hobby as my work. I enjoy good company and good food. My partner and I are living downstairs and will be available to assist with anything. My partner loves to cook, and I can give you lots of information on what to do and see. I work as a tour guide specializing in the Wet Tropics. We respect your privacy and give you space, (we are often out working) but are always there if you need us.

You'll be staying in a house which is surrounded on three sides by World Heritage National Park. Ours is one of three properties within the Barron Gorge National Park. You'll hear birds and insects at night and have a chance to experience wildlife up close. You can hear the Barron Falls from the front of the property, and during the Wet Season even from inside the house. It's a short 5 minute walk to the Falls. Kuranda village is 3.5km away, and Wrights Lookout about 500m. From there a large network of walking tracks starts (around 30km) with rainforest, open forest, waterfalls and rockpools, plus a feature mountain with great views over Cairns and beyond. All maps are available here and there is a compendium with all the information of the wider area. I can also offer you a guided tour plus a drop off if you want to do a through walk in the National Park taking in the best features.
