Tolga Caravan Park

* Tolga caravan park is 5 minutes drive from the main town of Atherton, situated on the north end of the Tolga scrub, adjacent to the sports complex which has free to use fitness equipment, tennis court, barbeque area and playground. There is a bush-walk or bike ride from the rear of the park to town. Many tourist use our park as a base while exploring the Atherton Tablelands. * Tolga caravan park has a variety of accommodation, from self contained cabins, family cabin to budget rooms catering for overnight guest, we also offer powered and unpowered sites. * Pets are welcome if visitors use their own van however pets are not allowed in onsite vans and cabins . All units at the park are fitted with air conditioning, television, cutlery, kettle, fridge/freezer and microwave. All self contained cabins have a private verandah and most of them have a garden view. * No continental breakfast on all accommodation provided. There is a communal coin-operated washing machine and dryer, as well as a coin-operated pool table at the property. There is also an on-site grocery store and a coffee shop. Supermarkets are 5 minutes drive. The Tolga Hotel, newsagency, post office, hair dresser, bakery, fish and chips and coffee shops were all 10 minutes walk from the park. Cairns is 46 km from Tolga Caravan Park, while Atherton is 4.3 km from the property. The nearest airport is Cairns Airport, 49 km from the park.

Tolga Caravan Park is 5 minutes away from the town of Atherton, situated on the north end of the Tolga scrub, adjacent to the sports complex which has fitness equipment, tennis court, barbeque area and playground. We offer an easy access large, grassy, level sites. We offer daily/weekly rate & single/family travelers rate. We have a variety of accommodation, from self contained cabins to budget rooms catering for overnight guest. We have a few onsite caravans with solid lockable annex and a some rooms for local workers who wish to stay for a few months. We have a clean toilets/showers and laundry facilities. There is a bush-walk or bike ride from the rear of the Park to town. Few places to explore are Lake Tinaroo, Paronella Park, Yungaburra Platypus viewing, Herberton Historic Museum, Millaa Millaa Waterfalls, Curtain Fig Tree, Galo Dairy Farm are some of the places that we sure you will enjoy. Many tourist use our park as a base while exploring the Atherton Tablelands. Ten minutes walk to newsagency, cafe, pub, salon, bakery, fish & chips, etc. The park has a convenience store. Pets are welcome if visitors use their own van.
Tolga Caravan Park has been established since the 1950's. Although it has been in existence for many years, the present owner has revamped/refurbished about 95% of the whole property. The park is surrounded with a beautiful rainforest and frequently visited by wildlife. We have a very peaceful relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant climate most of the year.
Tolga is within approximately six kilometres from Atherton, travelling through the rainforest canopied Kennedy Highway. Tolga presents a quaint little town with good examples of early Queensland architecture. A centre strip in the main street features a towering fig tree and heritage and timber display consisting of seven carved poles, much like totem poles. These showcase in creative carving, aspects of the Atherton Tableland's rich heritage including Aboriginal culture, animals plants and threats to the rainforest habitat. Close by is Rocky Creek Memorial Park, which is dedicated to the thousands of soldiers who were stationed in this area during World War Two. With its many plaques on display, it is a popular stop-over for many.
