The milk is fresh and organic, coming from their own cows. The eggs are from the raised chickens. They have home made ice cream made from the fresh cows milking. I had opportunity to watch the cows’ milking process. We stayed for 3 nights to visit all the attractions nearby. We had the Myvatn nature baths after long days’ volcano hike not far away. The staff and owners are very friendly.

As the hotel was over booked, and we were traveling with kids they helped us by arranging one extra bed in the room for free. The operator of the guesthouse, Maria, seemed genuinely friendly and helped get us a discount to the nearby Mývatn Nature Baths (which themselves are simply wonderful).

Excellent location: next to the lake, a volcano hike, and 10 mins from the Myvatn Nature Baths. The true star of this location is the amazing restaurant and friendly staff. We felt spoiled and very well fed — the food is some of the best of our trip, and breakfast was included with our stay. You can even watch the cows getting milked from your dinner table!
