We are located on the safest routes to and from Addo Park, including leading up to the lodge. We are centrally located in Addo area between the Garden Route and R62, for those planning round trip back to, or coming from Outdshoorn. If you do travel from Port-Elizabeth, please drive via R75 to us. We stayed at Harmony in the off season and we were actually the only ones there. Apart from the beautiful tent and view from the tent, we could see so many starts and the entire milkiway from our balcony, which was mesmerizing. Apart from all of that Mike is a very nice host and we had some good talks, he made us lovely dinner and breakfast and helped us if needed and provided recommendations and directions.

The highlight was the tranquillity and nature of the accommodation. It is also very beautiful, stylish and cozy. We immediately felt at home. Ingrid is a brilliant hostess and gives good advice. She is very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious. Even though the access road to the lodge is a bit long, you can easily reach activities such as Addo and Schotia Safari.

Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. Absolutely lovely private game Lodge near Addo national park. Excellent food and lovely staff. Chalets were beautiful. Great views from the pool. Went for game drive on their property and saw many different animals and was able to feed giraffe.

Each of the stone and thatch lodges at Woodbury Lodge have a private deck with panoramic views of the game reserve. They are all air-conditioned and have en suite bathrooms. The lodges are connected by stone walkways tucked away into indigenous trees. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food wonderful, game drives superb (thanks Nico). The whole ambiance was relaxing, you were made to feel so welcome and cause of its smaller size, it was quite intimate. The pools and decking area are fantastic as are the views.

The Lodge is situated on a private game reserve, which boasts over 17 species of wild game animals, including a large family of giraffes. Safaris and day trips can be arranged.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. My second stay at Valley Bushveld and it was even better than I remembered. It was out of peak season so very quiet, I think we were the only guests. We had evening meal both nights and this was very well prepared. Breakfast also was excellent, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Visited Addo which was again superb. Then on our second day had an early morning walk around the grounds and managed to get a good sighting of the giraffes as well as other wildlife. The room we were in had been renovated since my last stay and was fabulous. Will definitely visit again.

It was like staying as a guest in a fully furnished mansion of the early 1900's. A place of stories, family portraits and mystery. Every room filled with fascinating personal family memorabilia.
