Great location for Whakapapa ski field. Gym was not brilliantly equipped but very spacious. Rooms were cosy and warm. Communal kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms were basics but generally clean.

Excellent location in Whakapapa village and right on the trail for the Tongariro Northern Circuit. Has a great alpine chalet vibe with a really cosy bar overlooking the volcano. Good family room with bunks and nice fresh white linen. Even though the hotel is slightly dated the proper hotel linen makes everything feel clean and fresh. They had a games room and kids area which was great for the kids - they loved it. Food service was great - nice dinner options and a buffet breakfast which was handy as there is nothing else close by.

I stay here a lot to go skiing, so the location is excellent for Whakapapa. It's also a bonus to have a shuttle service straight from your door to the ski lifts. The bar and restaurant are convenient and cozy.

I appreciated the policy of zero waste - easily used recycle containers in the guest kitchen, natural cruelty free soap conditioner and shampoo, collecting the soaps and reusing for animal shampoos, no plastic bin liners and kitchen food scraps for animal feed. Also reasonably priced meals- local produce where possible -free range eggs, gluten free, vegan vegetarian meals available. Liked the helpful friendly staff. Marvellous view in v.peaceful surroundings Easy access to Whakapapa village

Lovely room, warm everywhere, it was very nice to feel warm. Location 10 min to Whakapapa, beautiful view from caffe/bar. Parking close to rooms, bed maybe a bit too small for a couple, but it was comfy and nice! Room wasn't big but quite nice for short stay. Showers were awesome - with heating!! And SPA outside for 5$ pp! Good common area with kitchen and fridges, cooking stove. Enjoyed staying here, would come back!

The location is perfect, couldn't be any closer to the famous Whakapapa Ski Field. The hotel has great central heating system that makes both the room and living space cosy during snowing July/August.
