Very clean tents in the bush. Wonderfully quiet as we had the place to ourselves. The use of the visitor centre is great to enjoy water sunsets.

Neighbourhood information

Wild Nature Lodge is located in one of Australia's most biodiverse and scenically beautiful regions. The tropical rainforests, ancient limestone cave systems are easily accessible in a day-trip. The lodge is located in the savannahs of Northern Australia, and we recommend spending at least a full day enjoying the lodge and the wildlife. Mareeba, the closest town, is a wonderful spot. Famous for its coffee, you can visit several plantations in the Mareeba district, as well as spectacular national parks, great pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands and Port Douglas are all just a day trip away. The Lambs Range, Atherton and Kuranda Range are well-known mountain biking locations. Mareeba has an award-winning Visitor Information Centre and we encourage all guests to spend some time there getting to know the various attractions. Mareeba hosts one of the north's largest rodeos and bull-riding events each July, and big-name music events such as Savannah in the Round usually in October.
